In the grasslands of the California Coast grow colorful wildflowers. Buckwheat, lupin, poppy and small daisy’s all add pops of warm color along the coastal cliffs. I chose marquise Andalucite partly  because it is subtle and reminds very much of the small beautiful flowers that grow close to the grass and are only visible upon close inspection and also because, the stone is so unsuspecting .
