FAQ

How quickly will my order arrive?

We make all pieces by hand in our Long Beach Studio. If the item is immediately in stock it will leave the studio in two to three days after purchase. We ship USPS priority mail which in general arrives in one to three days. All items are shipped insured and orders over $500 will require a signature upon arrival.

All other pieces that are made to order, please allow 2-3 weeks to make and process. If you need an order by a certain date, we may be able to accommodate you but please email us first at info@jivitajewelry.com to make the request.  

Is it possible to customize the length of a necklace or bracelet ?

Yes.  We make everything by hand and we can make any adjustments to length as per your request.  Contact us at info@jivitajewelry.com and we will let you know if there are any price differences.

Are pieces available in options not listed?

Yes.  We do our best to accommodate all requests and can make most pieces in sterling silver, 14k yellow, rose or white gold and with almost any gemstone.  Please contact us for availability and pricing at info@jivitajewelry.com.

How do I clean my oxidized sterling jewelry?

Each piece has been hand oxized and polished to create a two tone look that helps enhance the texture and give the jewelry a well worn antique look. Please do not dip jewelry in Tarnx or other strong cleaning solutions, this will remove the oxidation and change the look of the piece. Using a polishing cloth or a soft brush with toothpaste can work in a pinch to nicely bring back a shine. Also, for heavily oxidized pieces ultra fine steel wool #0000 will create a soft clean finish, for most pieces this is what we use in the studio.

Can I replace a lost earring?

Yes.  If the style is in stock you may purchase a half pair.  In some cases, we will ask you to send the mate to us so we can match it for you.  If the matching bead is no longer available we will offer a close substitution and change out both gem beads.

Does the jewelry come in special packaging?

Yes.  Each order is sent in a recycled silk bag made at a women's co-op in India. Each silk bag is unique and special, this is then packed in a kraft paper box with a care card. For personalized note card, please contact us at info@jivitajewelry.com.

 

Do you create custom pieces?

Yes!! We love custom work!  Please email us at info@jivitajewelry.com.

Is the full collection available online?

We change stone choices seasonally but don't always photograph each gem option, if you are looking for something specific please let us know. Also, we are always making one of a kind pieces that don't always make it onto the website. If you don't see a piece, that you know you saw at a festival or event, please email us at info@jivitajewelry.com as we may still have it!

What is the return policy?

If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, We will accept items for exchange or return.  Please ensure that the item is returned in new and resaleable condition within 10 business days from the delivery date of your order.  Returns after the 10 day period are only eligible for a store credit.  If you would like to make a return please email us at info@jivitajewelry.com.  For your protection, please pack your returns in the original box. We are not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit. Please include a note with your name and invoice number.  Once your return is processed, the purchasing card will be credited for the merchandise amount only.  We do not refund shipping charges on return items.  Custom work is non returnable.
 

Can I return a gift?

Items received as gifts may be exchanged for another item of equal or greater value. 

What is your repair policy?

We want our jewelry to enjoy a long life and welcome any fine tuning. For repairs on jewelry that is more than a year old, a small charge may apply to cover parts and shipping. Also, we may not be able to repair older pieces if components needed to repair them are unavailable, do please contact us before sending. Items purchased through other retailers must be returned for repair to the store where the item was purchased.  Please contact us for more details at info@jivitajewelry.com.

What is your privacy policy?

We will not sell, share or trade any information you supply to us with a third party.  Any information we collect is used to provide you with a better shopping experience and to notify you via email of promotions and upcoming sales.
